Description
After a successful poster shoot for Circa Nightclub in Toronto, I arranged to shoot with the stunning Danielle again, and this is the result.

How many time's I've worked with complete AMATEURS, who haven't modelled a day in their lives, and don't even LOOK like models (if you were to run across them in public you wouldn't give them a second look), and do photos of them that make them look like seasoned PRO's .... and viewers of the photos are like "Ho-hum ... yet another snap-shot of a super gorgeous person ... .big deal!" ... that, my GFX friends, is what you would call either judging a book by the cover, or jumping to conclusions.
I'm not saying these girls are 'ugly' by any means, I'm just pointing out that there is in fact a lot that goes into a lot of photos, the art of bringing OUT the natural beauty in subjects, that some people just don't grasp.
This was NOT shot in a studio. In fact pretty much ALL of my most studio-quality images were shot in situations VERY un-studio like. The background here was almost intentional! (How many times do I have to see so-called "pro" photographers shoot IN-STUDIO, and screw THAT up ... getting the backdrop supports and light stands in shot .... and not even having a clue how to edit them out properly.) .... so THANK YOU for your opinion. Go bother those established and well paid photographers that don't deserve such success.

Like i said, she looks like a lovely model and your work in capturing her looking natural has worked well, but everything else in the photo aside from her face is just very distracting
it's just my opinion, and im not at all a pro

From the discussion above I quite agree with Eos about the elements in the photo that distract a little bit. Don't take me wrong! As you, I don't like too much the traditional studio photos! I love natural taken photos, and it seems we have that in common!

I understand how distracting the overexposure and the lines may seem to some ... but not being a studio shoot, I still feel the background elements have their place in this photo - I feel it grounds the stunning beauty into reality more, as opposed to if it were 'studio-style' where a solid white background would leave her cold and fake looking ("Ho-hum, yet another hot-chick in front of a white wall!"
I guess I'm starting to develop a style of Hybrid Candid-style+Studio-Look that most are not used to. I like this look, I hope others will too.
The overexposure is also a Plus in my eye, I felt that as such a glamorous look, nearly magazine-style, that the main focal points (the eye's, luscious lips, and hair) were the most important parts to focus on ... everything else (except the background) just washes away into white oblivion.
That's what I saw in this picture.
