Yah I know compositionally it's a bit messy and whatnot, but I just loved how the smoke in the middle was weaving just like the fire .... would a closer crop of just that area be more interesting? My 'Wallpaper Version' above is a much tighter crop that I like. How about that one?

the wallpaper version is good. I feel that this one needed to be composed better, and definately closer to the smoke. That smoke is Brilliant though. Also a border. I had a bit of a play, and added a border, sharpened a little (not enough though...), check out the link, hope you don't mind (unfortunately, I'm not that great with editing).. Again, that smoke is great, should be where the eye is drawn!

I like the fire also.
If you want to keep this one, crop the bottom up to the 3rd flame, then
heal the two little flames on the left.
